the 556 and 557 Stereo Power Amplifiers but includes a high-quality
preamplifier similar to the 501.
The preamplifier provides six audio inputs.
The power amplifier uses a unique feedback topology and precision local error
correction system. It is designed and constructed in dual mono format,
including a massive twin wound toroidal transformer.
A separate headphone amplifier and a speaker on/off facility allow you to enjoy
music without disturbing others.
