Last thing today we had the CEO and the Production Manager and the Project Manager onboard all using the Vantage system in the starboard cabin successfully. The smile on there faces was amazing and I got asked how the hell I managed to get the system running so far ahead of schedule and so far ahead of every other department. So I told them forward planning and being able to trust who your working with. I really do appreciate the effort that’s been put in here, you guys have an amazing attitude and are a real pleasure to work with, so thanks

Lee N., New Plymouth

It has been a long and painstaking process but throughout Romesh has gone out of his way to understand the gap between what I had and what I wanted and has never lost patience or passion for my project. The net result is that I now have a system that is simple but sounds glorious.

I do not know of another retailer who displays the passion and commitment that Romesh and his team do. They love music and its reproduction and they live and breathe their work.

Chris D., Auckland

Congratulations on a top team based in Hamilton as I consider their efforts above and beyond the call of professionalism.

Are you building or renovating?

houseplan250.jpgYou know the importance of pre wiring your home to enjoy current and future technologies, but here's what most of us are never told.

It's a common misconception that a generic "smart wire" of your home will allow you to enjoy the benefits of todays technology, and be "future proofed" for tommorows technology.

Based on this misinformation many people trust their electrician to install "smart wiring", and delay making decisions about exactly what technology they'd like till after their build or renovation is complete.

The appeal of doing this is obvious. You already have so many decisions to make, and money is often tight during the build.

But heres the problem, different entertainment and automation solutions require diffent wiring.

A generic prewire will not necessarily allow you to enjoy the technologies you want. Any one who tells you other wise is only giving you half the story.

Sure, running data cable everywhere will help, but did you know that different solutions require data cables with different sheilding and data speeds?

Some solutions work best with a "star" wiring scheme, while others work better using a "series" wiring scheme.

Some solutions require proprietary cabling.

There are no shortcuts. Your need to have a plan in place for the technologies you would like to enjoy.

Simply installing generic "smart wiring" does not guarantee that you will be future proofed or that you will be able to enjoy the technologies you want.

The first step is to determine what end result you would like to enjoy.

If you are likely to sell your home in the short or medium term, it's also important to keep in mind what technologies or wiring will be important to prospective purchasers. Homes which are adequately prewired typically sell for 3% more than equivalent non wired homes.

Based on this an appropriate wiring solution can be implimented to guarantee you get the end result you want, and maximise the value of your property.

It's important to note that there is no increase to your costs, infact in many instances it will save you money.

By investing a small amount of time at the outset, you will get a better result, and avoid the disappointment of finding out that you can't do what you want to do because your home has be in correctly wired.
